April Report 2008

As always cadets come and go, and this year has been no exception, two cadets left which included my Lance Corporal.

However at the Easter promotion board Marine Cadet 2s King and Sullivan passed their exams with flying colours.  Marine Cadet 2 King came top with a score of 219 points and earned automatic promotion to Lance Corporal.

Also the unit’s Cadet of the Year, Lance Corporal Kyran Tibbles received his presentation at C.T.C Lympstone. He was presented with the shield by  Major General Andy Salmon.  Kyran and the family were treated as VIPs' and had a very enjoyable day out.

So what next?

Our usual meetings and training with parades

Sunday 19th October we are on parade in the  Hertfordshire Trafalgar parade

We are also in the process of recruiting new staff and if anyone has spare time and is able to help out at the unit please contact me.

We have also had some RM memorabilia given to us by Dennis Read RM and Graham Pope.  So we have a wonderful new display cabinet waiting for  more donations.

And  finally,  a big thank you to our shipmates at W.G.C.R.M.A. for their constant support and encouragement and providing this web page.

Yours aye

Sergeant A.Tibbles
